I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.
Finally have my own copy of Love and Misadventure by Lang Leav! This is the last copy in Fully Booked and I feel so lucky to finally have it in my hands! This poem, by far, is my favorite (it brought me to tears as well!) I have so much love for this author. Stay amazing, Lang Leav. You make me happy with the use of your words every single day.
So much love right back at you. Thanks beautiful xo Lang
You know that feeling you get when you really like someone and you hold their hand for the first time? How it just feels so satisfying to know they have the same feelings for you? It feels like a sexual release. It’s such a light, timid hand hold. Like, they can let go easily if they want and you can too but you both try so hard to hold onto each other so lightly. It just feels so innocent and right. Literally one of the best feelings in the world.

Well I saw you last night little one. I came to just be with Liz but you were there too. I don’t feel weird around you which is good but I still wish I could kiss your sweet face and that I could hold you close to me. I cuddled with Liz cuz I needed my friend. I wonder how we would be if you were still mine. I hope you’ve been well little one! Have a great Wednesday.
